Win a branding shoot for your business

Who runs it

The giveaway is run by Karen Pretorius, trading as Elite Wedding Society (sole proprietor), 13 Vaal Drive, Le Voila Complex, Sylviavale, Vanderbijlpark, contact info@eliteweddingsociety.co.za. The prize is given by Karen Pretorius Photography. A copy of these rules is available free of charge to anyone who asks.

The prize

• A two-hour branding and content shoot by Karen Pretorius Photography, at your business or a location in the Vaal Triangle, Pretoria or Johannesburg.
• 40 edited photos you may use in all your own marketing.
• The shoot takes place within six months of the draw, on a date that suits both the winner and the photographer.

The prize is worth R9 500. There is one prize. It costs the winner nothing: no fees, no travel costs and nothing to buy. It can't be exchanged for cash or passed on to someone else. If the photographer can't do the shoot because of illness or something similar, we'll arrange another date that suits the winner.

Dates

Entries open on 7 December 2026 and close at 23:59 on 28 February 2027. Entries after that time aren't accepted. The winner is drawn on 1 March 2027.

Who can enter

• Wedding businesses listed on Elite Wedding Society and approved by the draw date.
• Based in Gauteng or on the Free State side of the Vaal (Sasolburg, Deneysville or Parys), as shown on the listing.
• One entry per business, made by the account that manages the listing, by someone 18 or older.

These people can't win: Karen Pretorius and the businesses she runs; anyone who works for or regularly works with them, such as second shooters and assistants; and the spouses, partners and immediate family of all of these. The same applies to anyone who helps run the giveaway.

How to enter

Enter on the giveaway page with a free Elite Wedding Society account, from the account that manages your listing. Entering is free. One entry per business: extra accounts or entries made to get around this are removed.

Extra chances

Every entry starts with one chance. You can earn more:

• One extra entry for a complete profile: at least 5 photos and a few sentences about your business.
• One extra entry for each vendor who joins through your invite link and is approved (up to 10).
• One extra entry for each published real wedding you're credited in (up to 5).

Your chances are shown on the giveaway page and are counted again at the moment of the draw.

The draw

On 1 March 2027 the winner is drawn by computer at random from all eligible entries, each entry weighted by its number of chances. The listing must be approved and still based in Gauteng or on the Free State side of the Vaal (Sasolburg, Deneysville, Parys). We keep a record of every entry in the draw and the result.

The winner

We email the winner within two days of the draw. To claim the prize, the winner replies within 14 days. If we don't hear back by then, or the winner turns out not to be eligible, we draw again in the same way. We may share the winner's first names and town and, with their permission, photos from the shoot. The winner may say no to any of this and still keeps the prize.

Your information

We use your entry details only to run the giveaway and to contact you about it. Karen Pretorius Photography contacts you about a paid shoot only if you ticked that box. We keep entries and draw records for three years, as the Consumer Protection Act requires, and then delete them. Our Privacy page explains the rest.

If something goes wrong

If the giveaway can't run as planned because of something outside our control, we'll explain on this page and treat all entrants fairly. Questions or complaints: info@eliteweddingsociety.co.za. These rules follow South African law, including section 36 of the Consumer Protection Act.
