Who runs it

The giveaway is run by Karen Pretorius, trading as Elite Wedding Society (sole proprietor), 13 Vaal Drive, Le Voila Complex, Sylviavale, Vanderbijlpark, contact info@eliteweddingsociety.co.za. The prize is given by Karen Pretorius Photography. A copy of these rules is available free of charge to anyone who asks.

The prize

• A one-hour engagement session by Karen Pretorius Photography, in the Vaal Triangle, Pretoria or Johannesburg.
• 30 edited digital photos, delivered in an online gallery.
• The session takes place within six months of the draw, on a date that suits both the winners and the photographer.

The prize is worth R6 500. There is one prize. It costs the winner nothing: no fees, no travel costs and nothing to buy. It can't be exchanged for cash or passed on to someone else. If the photographer can't do the session because of illness or something similar, we'll arrange another date that suits the winner.

Dates

Entries open on 15 December 2026 and close at 23:59 on 13 February 2027. Entries after that time aren't accepted. The winner is drawn on 14 February 2027.

Who can enter

• Couples getting married after the draw date, with the wedding in Gauteng or on the Free State side of the Vaal (Sasolburg, Deneysville or Parys).
• Both partners are 18 or older and live in South Africa.
• One entry per couple, made with a free Elite Wedding Society account.

These people can't win: Karen Pretorius and the businesses she runs; anyone who works for or regularly works with them, such as second shooters and assistants; and the spouses, partners and immediate family of all of these. The same applies to anyone who helps run the giveaway.

How to enter

Enter on the giveaway page with a free Elite Wedding Society account. Entering is free. One entry per couple: extra accounts or entries made to get around this are removed.

Extra chances

Every entry starts with one chance. You can earn more:

• One extra entry when your wedding website on Elite Wedding Society is published.
• One extra entry for each engaged couple who enters through your personal link (up to 10).

Your chances are shown on the giveaway page and are counted again at the moment of the draw.

The draw

On 14 February 2027 the winner is drawn by computer at random from all eligible entries, each entry weighted by its number of chances. The couple's wedding date must still be after the draw. We keep a record of every entry in the draw and the result.

The winner

We email the winner within two days of the draw. To claim the prize, the winner replies within 14 days. If we don't hear back by then, or the winner turns out not to be eligible, we draw again in the same way. We may share the winner's first names and town and, with their permission, photos from the session. The winner may say no to any of this and still keeps the prize.

Your information

We use your entry details only to run the giveaway and to contact you about it. If you ticked the box for the sponsors' offers, we email you the offers; a sponsor only receives your name, email, wedding date and area if you ask for their offer. If you win, we put you in touch with each sponsor so they can deliver your prize. We keep entries and draw records for three years, as the Consumer Protection Act requires, and then delete them. If something goes wrong

If the giveaway can't run as planned because of something outside our control, we'll explain on this page and treat all entrants fairly. Questions or complaints: info@eliteweddingsociety.co.za. These rules follow South African law, including section 36 of the Consumer Protection Act.
